We serve a mighty God!

Most mornings I start out with my cup of coffee and my daily Bread. I find my daily passages and snuggle in my favorite chair, or weather permitting, out on my patio and get ready for what the Lord wants me to chew on. Most often, there is a revelation or something that really requires the highlighter or the marking pen to make notes, but this particular morning, this one passage has hit me and I can’t stop thinking about, so I thought I would share.
It’s a truth we all know but sometimes have a hard time believing for ourselves, I think, but to see it once again lived out in scripture just continues to show the awesomeness of God. Here it is:
“And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him. ‘Alas, my master! What shall we do?’
So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’
And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”  2 Kings 6:15-17
Hallelujah! If we can get a picture of this for our own lives and know that when the enemy seems to have surrounded us with whatever circumstance we are facing, that our eyes be opened to see the invisible to believe the impossible. We look to the mountain and begin to see all those that are fighting with us and for us in the spirit. We are not alone; we are not defeated. No matter how small we may feel, consumed with fear, with God, we will and do have the victory. Romans 8:31,“If our God is for us, who can be against us” in living color. There is no need to retreat or cower. We serve a mighty God!
